What Can Jesus Do For Your Eyesight?

How is your eyesight? Do you wear glasses or contacts? Carrots are well known to be one of the richest sources of vitamin A. It is a well-established fact that vitamin A is essential for healthy eyes. So then if we want to have good eyesight we should eat more carrots. I do know for a fact that eating a lot of carrots can even improve a person’s eyesight because my eyes have gotten better with age. I do a lot of juicing of carrots or sweet potatoes with an apple in my juicer, three times a week. Another great thing about the eating of a lot of carrots is they help ward off cancer because they are loaded with antioxidants.
An ancient proverb says, "the eyes are the windows to the soul." Wow, what a beautiful quote. If our eyes are the windows to the soul then what is it that you are seeing every day with the power of your eyes? Does our visual intake through television, movies, computers and video games effect us physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually? I believe so. When we visualize violence and other disturbing scenes on a consistent basis it will affect the way we view the world around us, and our belief in what we cannot see with the eyes.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2 NIV)
It is a wonderful gift from God to have been blessed with the ability to be able see those we love and care for. Think for a moment what it would be like not to be able to see with your eyes. Would we have a better spiritual vision of God? I think it is important to keep our whole body functioning at optimal health because the body, mind, and soul work together.
How is your spiritual eyesight? Do you feel lonely or empty? Jesus Christ is well known to be the richest source of spiritual wisdom and food for the soul. It is a well-established fact that Jesus Christ is absolutely essential for spiritual wellness and inner happiness. So then all we have to do is ask Jesus into our heart and we’ll be on our way to spiritual understanding and wisdom.
I do know for a fact that allowing Christ into our life can also improve a person’s ability to love others properly without the need to receive anything in return. In the last fourteen years I personally have been freed from addiction, resentment, selfishness, and rebelliousness to the truth. I restored my marriage, family, health and outlook on life because of Christ’s love for me. Following Jesus Christ is loaded with wisdom that our mind needs. What a great way to be spiritually healthy.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness? (Matthew 6:22,23 NIV)
