God’s Creation:
People Are Not Animals Because We Can There are many differences among human beings and
animals. Evolutionists love to say human’s come from animals. They
like to lump humans and animals together as if they are from the same
class. But God, the Creator of all mankind created animals for very
specific purposes. God tells us that people are to rule over the animals
in every which way. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image,
in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the
birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all
the creatures that movie along the ground.”
(Genesis 1:26) God did not
create animals with control of their sex drive—they have no
inhibitions or the power to reason or to moralize like human beings do.
This is one of the biggest differences between animals and humans.
God created humans with the ability to
control their sex drive and walk away from tempting situations. In fact
God made us so different from the animals that we are made in the
image of God himself! You and me are
the reflection of God’s glory! Of course humans
will never be exactly like God because He is our supreme Creator, but we
have the ability to reflect His character through our love for others
and by obeying His precepts for our lives. We do reflect God’s
character in us when we respect and love others in the proper ways, not
in passionate lust like the heathen who do not know God.
(1 Thessalonians 4:5) Animals are just
animals, they are unable to control when, why, and who they mate
with—its instinctive for animals to wonder around for a mate to have
sex with. But God created humans in a very different way to have sex.
Humans were not created to wonder around and find just anyone to mate
with every day. God created what is called the one flesh of marriage for
enjoying sex. For this reason a man will leave his father and
mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
(Genesis 2:24) Because men and
women are made in God’s image and we are a reflection of God’s
glory, we have a solid foundation for personal self-worth and respecting
others. Self-worth for ourselves and for others should not be based on
what we own, how much money we have, our achievements or physical
attractiveness. Instead self-worth and respect for others should be
based on the fact that we are made in the image of God and
through our lives we reflect God’s character! So God created man in his own image, IN THE IMAGE
OF GOD he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1: 27) When we take
advantage of others by NOT controlling our sex drives we are not
glorifying God but evolution because we become just like the animals,
who do not know God. But God created men and women with the ability to
control themselves in all things. If
God intended for humans to have uncontrolled sex like the animals, he
would not have created commitment, nor the sanctity of the one flesh of
marriage. If God intended for humans to run amok with their sex drives
He would have made them in the image of the animals. Instead God
created humans, not only with self-control but also with the ability to
commit and devote themselves to a lifetime of marriage. Even some birds
mate for life. If God created certain birds to mate for life and they
are made inferior to humans, don’t you think he would also give humans
the ability to stay married for a lifetime? How much more God loves us
over the animals! And even the very hairs of your head are
numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
(Matthew 10:30-31) God made us
superior to the animals in every which way! Human beings are not
animals. Don’t EVER believe you are a part of the animal kingdom,
because it is just not so. God made us with the power to reason, to
love, to forgive, to be devoted to one another for life and with the
ability to say “NO” to an immoral and corrupt lifestyle. God gave us
absolute authority and control over the animals of the earth. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful
and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish
of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that
moves on the ground. (Genesis 2:28) God made us in His image for us to Glorify him
and his wonderful creation through how
we regard and treat others in our relationships. Humans have been
given the power, through Christ, to resist temptation and to live a life
that is pleasing to God. God made us
with intelligence and reasoning, so we can have the ability to love one
another according to His principles that are outlined in scripture, not
only for our own spiritual well-being but for the well-being of others. God created
human beings to be spiritual by recognizing and utilizing Christ’s
Spirit within them, to help them live a Godly life. Animals were created
for food and for man’s enjoyment and livelihood. We have dominion over
the animals and therefore we should not take heed when some people like
to group people as animals. We did not evolve from an ape or a clam. God
created us in his image and knew who we
were before we were even a twinkle in our mother’s eye. For you created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mothers womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.
(Psalm 139:13-14 If some humans
are living their lives as if they were animals it is because they DO NOT
KNOW GOD. They do not know that they have been made in God’s image and
likeness. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) |
